I’ve started this blog so that I’ve yet another excuse to write as often as possible. In July 2009 I retired – I had been a primary school head teacher for 25 years. I want to use my retirement to try all the things that I never had the time to do when I was working.
I’ve always read a lot and still do. My wife, Ann, says that I have some strange ideas when it comes to reading! I like thrillers and science fiction. I still read books about education, especially what education might look like in the 21st Century. I love reading management/business books, self-help books, books about how our minds work …. and the list goes on!
I enjoy playing with technology. I would be lost without my MacBook Pro and my iPod Touch. Can’t wait to get my hands on the new iPad. I’m enjoying blogging and quite fancy having a go at podcasting.
On top of all this I like to write – my problem is I haven’t quite worked out what exactly I want to write. I’m playing around with short stories, love writing children’s stories and part of me would like to write a non-fiction book about leadership in schools.
